Dunsin Oyekan, commonly known as ‘The Eagle’, is a well-known Nigerian Gospel musician, composer, and worship leader whose life and music have left an everlasting impact on the hearts of those who have had the opportunity to hear his powerful songs and anointing ministry.
He is also an anointed psalmist who has transformed and reinvigorated Africa’s gospel music business.

Oyekan, a skilled musician and bass guitar master, has been playing guitar since he was ten years old. His love of music and composition may be traced back to his late father, who also enjoyed music and encouraged him to play the guitar.

His words and music, which have earned him the title of prophetic worship preacher and revivalist, are inspired by his encounters and personal walks with God. He is also the organizer of the Code Red Worship Experience.

Dunsin Oyekan has over 30 songs to his name, including the critically praised and emotionally charged tracks Open Up, Imole De, Keiyadosh, Breathe, If All I Say Is Jesus, and Fragrance to Fire. Dunsin Oyekan was born in Ilorin, Nigeria, into a family steeped in religion and music. He is son of Gbadebo Oyekan, who was General Overseer of the Evangelical Baptist Church.

Dunsin began playing the guitar when he was 10 years old, a decision that would impact his life and ministry. His father, Gbadebo Oyekan, led a music group known as the ‘Spiritual Singers,’ which was dedicated to experiencing God through worship.
Dunsin’s musical path began with his father’s instruction and encouragement. This early exposure to music in a spiritually rich setting would pave the way for Dunsin’s career as a worshiper and musician.

Education and Spiritual Calling.
Dunsin Oyekan earned a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the University of Ilorin in Kwara, Nigeria. However, his academic journey was not the only significant one he was on.
In 2014, he experienced a spiritual call that changed the path of his life. Dunsin wholeheartedly accepted his calling and dedicated himself to the ministry of worship and music.

Aside from his musical efforts and preaching, Dunsin Oyekan is a dedicated family man. He married his loving bride, Adedoyin Oyekan, on February 2, 2013. They embarked on a profound journey of love and faith together, until on May 18, 2019, the Lord called Adedoyin to glory. Their relationship produced two gorgeous children, demonstrating the richness of their love and the legacy of faith they left behind.
